Player Spotlight: Jaiden Spearman C/O ’24 Wideout/Corner/Safety

Jaiden Spearman is an athletic playmaker in the 2024 class for William Amos Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina.

The freshman phenom sees time at wideout, safety and defensive back, making him a true athlete on the field.

Standing at 6’1 170 pounds, this impressive young man has plenty of time to grow even bigger and if history tells us anything, he will be a force on the field, like his older brothers.

One of his older brothers, Ike, who stood at 6’1 230 pounds, was a 3-star linebacker in the c/o ’12 and he committed to Ole Miss. He went on to have a stint with the Minnesota Vikings.

His other brother, current senior Derek, another 3-star, 6’3 200 pounds and he is committed to Princeton, and he holds seventeen offers as a defensive back.

The only question now is will he be tall like Derek, or big like Ike?!

As only a 9th grader, Jaiden certainly has impressive measurables. He runs a 4.56 laser-timed 40 yard dash. He also has a vertical jump of 37.5 and a broad jump of 9.8!

Although his season has been delayed due to Covid-19, that has not slowed down the younger Spearman, as he has been working out two times per day and he has been competing in 7v7 tournaments to stay in shape.

Besides the obvious, I wanted to know what makes this impressive young man standout from the rest of the players in the country and I liked what I heard.

“I am long and athletic, for starters,” Spearman said. “I also bring great footwork and great size and speed to the table.”

“My football IQ is high as well, due to the fact that I have been playing football since I was four years old. I am extremely competitive and I will always outwork my competition.”

“Football is in my blood. My dad played football, as well as coached us in the game. Both of my brothers went D-1 and I have three cousins that play D-1.”

Wow, what an impressive body of work!

Spearman knows the importance of having academics in order, as he currently has a 4.0 GPA, which more than qualifies him for the next level.

Other notable information: – FBU NC team member – FBU Adidas Freshman All American – Youth 1 Top 450 Freshman List – Named Scout Trout Top 100 Freshman list – #3 ranked freshman in the nation by KIB Sports – Won Elite Talent Camp MVP with the best combine numbers in the 2024 football recruiting class.

While Spearman does not have any offers, he informed me that his coaches are already receiving interest from college coaches about him.

You can be sure that once this talented athlete has his chance to set foot on a varsity field, that he will be turning heads for the next few years!
