Player Spotlight: Blake Ware C/O ’23 Linebacker

Sensational Sophomore has monster game in first playoff win!

Blake Ware is a sophomore linebacker for Sandra Day O’Conner High School in Arizona.

Blake Ware is a young man that we have previously written on as being a force on the field, early in his career.

Last week, his team had their first playoff game against Basha, in which team won, in an overtime thriller, by a score of 27-21.

That is impressive, considering his team went 3-7 last year, and Ware is a an integral part to the success that the team has seen so far.

Part of that success from Friday, was an impressive 10 tackles! To add to that, he also had 4.5 tackles for loss, including 2.5 sacks. Ware also forced a fumble, as well as scooped up another fumble on the night.

After the game, Ware was excited about the events that transpired and how far his team had come.

“We really played a great game,” Ware said. “We fought hard all night long and to get the victory the way we did, in overtime of the playoffs, man, it was the most exciting game I have ever been a part of.”

“I am just glad that I was able to play in it, and also just play at a high level while I was in the game. This team has come a long way and I am glad to be able to contribute week in and week out!”

Ware looks to continue that excitement on Friday, as his team prepares to take on Chaparral at home, but we have the sense he may want to have a more convincing victory this week!

Ware is also a member of the My Recruits organization that we have previously written on. This program is extremely beneficial and truly helps players get to the next level as a result.
