Hooper Spotlight: Zoe Wiltz C/O ’21 Point Guard

Zoe Wiltz Senior Point Guard

Zoe Wiltz is a sensational senior basketball player for Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Wiltz is also the first ever female athlete we have written on!

Wiltz is a point guard for her basketball team, the Lady Knights. She currently stands at 5’6, 140 pounds and is a force to be reckoned with on the hardwood.

In her career, she is a three-time state champion, and she is looking to cap off her career with another state title in her senior year. She will have her work cut out for her this season.

“I feel like we are a young team this year,” Wiltz said. “We are young, but we are also talented. We are coming back for our title, and the goal is to get another state championship win.”

Wiltz and her teammates have a goal and they certainly know the formula to get there!

Other than her impressive resume’ of state championship winning, Wiltz wanted to let me know that the points and trophies aren’t all that she brings to the game and her team.

“I standout through my ability to lead my teammates,” Wiltz said. “I don’t just lead by the points that I score or the abilities I have, but by the way that I carry myself and in every facet of the game.”

Sounds like Wiltz is a true leader!

Wiltz knows how important it is to be a student first, and she dominates the classroom like the basketball court, with a 3.6 GPA. That GPA is more than enough to help her get to the next level of basketball and has also helped her to get a few offers.

So far, the talented playmaker has offers from Florida A&M University and Tennessee State. Look for those offers to increase as Wiltz continues to lead her team on and off the court.

Wiltz and the Lady Knights are currently 7-1 on the season with a game against Delhi at home on Saturday. Wiltz hopes to secure another victory, after coming off of a dominating performance in a 70-33 win over Carencro.
