Player Spotlight: Kenton Sargent C/O ’21 Quarterback

Kenton Sargent is a sensational senior quarterback for Windsor High School that we have previously written on.

Though he played on a run-heavy offense, Sargent was still able to have a good year throwing the ball, as he finished the season with just under 2,000 yards passing and 28 touchdowns to just 5 INT’s thrown.

Sargent also showed off his wheels as he ran for nearly 500 more yards and added 7 more touchdowns to close out an impressive senior campaign.

Sargent would account for a third of his team’s total touchdowns on the year.

What is more impressive than the stats, is the fact that as the starting quarterback of his squad, he was able to lead his team to heights that they have never reached.

Sargent and the Greyhounds 2020 season would be the best in school history, as the Greyhounds finished the year with a perfect 15-0 record, in addition to a state championship victory.

Sargent and the Greyhounds were also able to secure a conference championship victory in the 2020 season, as well as being the district champions; a feat that they have accomplished in back to back seasons, as they were the district champions in 2019 and 2020.

At 6’0, 195 pounds, Sargent has good size for the next level, with the ability to grow even more.

Speaking of the next level, Sargent holds a 3.5 GPA, which more than qualifies him to play college ball.

Some accolades that Sargent has received in his career are as follows; three-time All-Conference, three-time All-District, and a four-time O-D All-American.

Quite an illustrious career!

Sargent also shows off his versatility, as he plays linebacker for his team and he is a multi-sport athlete for the Greyhounds as he plays football, runs track, plays baseball and basketball.

At linebacker, Sargent finished second on the team in tackles with an eye-popping 121 total tackles! He would also add 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 INT, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries.

What can’t this guy do?!

In the weight room, Sargent has a max squat of 360 pounds, and a bench max of 290! The senior can also run the forty-yard-dash in a 4.72.

Sargent currently holds eleven offers, including one from Carthage College, but look for more teams to pull the trigger on this athlete soon!

Sargent is also a part of the My Recruits program with Coach Lou Perrone, who we have previously written on.
