Player Spotlight: Armond Anderson C/O ’21 Tight End/Wideout/Defensive Back

Armond Anderson is an athlete for South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia.

Anderson plays wideout, tight end and defensive back for the Comets, and he is equally as good on both sides of the line of scrimmage!

That versatility could be attributed to the fact that Anderson is a multi-sport athlete, as he plays four sports! In addition to football, Anderson plays baseball, basketball and he runs track for the Comets!

In his spare time, all Anderson does is run a blazing 4.5 in the forty-yard-dash! He also has a squat max of 405 and a bench max of 295!

Standing at 6’3, 210 pounds, Anderson has great size to play at the next level, and could prove to be a great weapon on either side of the ball.

On offense in 2020, Anderson had nearly 300 yards receiving, to go along with 4 touchdowns on the year, in a run-heavy offense.

On the defensive side of the ball, Anderson would grab 22 tackles on the year with one tackle for loss. He also added 3 INT’s and 3 pass break-ups in coverage.

Anderson has pulled in some impressive accolades in his career, as he has earned Most Valuable Player Defense 2020 Podium Preps All-American Bowl, Two-Way Player Of The Year, Region 8AAAAAAA First Team Wideout, and Gwinnett County First Team TE of the year!

Anderson currently holds offers from Culver Stockton, Point University, ST University, MTI Prep School, Wooster University, and Georgia Knights Prep School.

While Anderson has quite a few offers already, it’ll be hard for other teams to pass up on such an athletic playmaker with great size!
