The sensational senior is a quarterback for the Lancers. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, Zele has not yet played his senior season, but he hopes that he will still have a chance to do so.
So far in his varsity career, the talented athlete has not disappointed, as he is 39-7 as the starter for the Lancers, and has a career QB Rating of 104!
If Zele’s career were to end now, he still has the stats to show that he can get it done, as he has 5,900 career passing yards with 51 touchdowns!
Showing his versatility as a dual-threat quarterback, Zele also has ran for 2,000 yards and an additional 21 rushing touchdowns!
In his three years, Zele has earned All-CIF Honors in 2019, in addition to All-County Honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior in 2017, 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Whoever lands this impressive playmaker will certainly not regret it!
With his size, 6’0, 190 pounds, and his abilities, you sort of get a Baker Mayfield vibe from what he is able to do and his measurables.
Zele also shows off his wheels, as he runs a blazing 4.5 in the forty-yard-dash, which is very fast for a quarterback!
“I really feel like my speed is something that allows me to do more things than others at the position,” Zele said.
Zele feels like his experience sets him apart from other players and it allows him to play cool, calm and collected.
“My experience certainly helps me in games,” Zele said. “I have played in forty-six varsity games in my career, and I started as a freshman. I am hoping that I will add to that with my senior season, if allowed. That experience has led me to win a state championship in my career and I have been in three consecutive CIF championships. I led my team to state as a freshman and lost, but I avenged it by winning as a sophomore.”
With Zele’s team currently ranked at 11th in the southern section and 19th in the state of California, he feels like he and his team have a chance to do something special again this season, and it all begins with his Faith.
“I play with a lot of Faith,” Zele said. “When I step on the field, I know that God is with me at all times. I feel like that elevates me and my game.”
With a current GPA of 3.5, Zele has the grades that can get him to the next level and be able to play college ball.
Zele currently has an offer from Air Force and he hopes that he can do enough in his senior year, however it may play out, to pull in some more offers. It will be interesting to see who lands this phenomenal player!
