Porter teamed with Petty, and the rest of the Demons, were able to secure a state championship victory earlier this week, as the convincingly thrashed Cartersville by a score of 62-28!
On the biggest stage of the season, Porter’s star shined the brightest it had all year, as he would finish the game with 4 catches for 75 yards.
On the year, Porter would finish his sensational senior season with 32 catches for 770 yards and 8 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 24 yards per catch!
Porter was able to do all of this in a run-heavy offense that saw three players rush for over 940 yards each. Quite impressive year for Porter!
Not only did Porter become a state champion in his final season on the field, but he also would grab First Team All-Region Honors on the year.
A speedy wideout who is great at stretching defenses, Porter runs an impressive 4.4 in the forty-yard-dash!
In addition to being a speedster, Porter wants coaches to know that speed is not the only tool in his toolkit.
“I am a speedy wideout, I do know that,” Porter said. “But, I am also a great route runner. I can really create separation in more ways than just speed. I am also very selfless and I love to help my teammates to make plays!”
Porter sounds like the kind of guy you would love to have on your team!
Porter also gets it done in the classroom, as he has a 3.4 GPA, which is more than enough to qualify him for college ball.
Porter currently has a three offers from Shorter University, Reinhardt University and University of the Cumberlands. It will be hard for other schools and coaches to shy away from offering this dynamic playmaker for much longer.
