Christian Cooper is a dynamic playmaker for Garland High School in Garland, Texas.
The junior for the Owls sees time all of the defensive backfield, as he plays corner, nickel and safety.
On the 2020 season, Cooper was only able to play eight games, but made the most of the chances he had, as he averaged nearly 3 tackles per game.
Cooper would finish the season with 21 tackles on the year, as well as scooping up a fumble on the season. He also showed his abilities in the pass game, with 1 INT that he took 47 yards and 9 PBU’s.
Standing at 5’10, 170 pounds, Cooper already has the size that you would like to see at the next level, with time to still add to that frame in his senior season.
Cooper can add that weight in the weight-room, as he has impressive strength, with a 375 pound max squat, more than double his body weight!
Cooper is also a burner, as he runs an impressive 4.51 in the forty-yard-dash!
Cooper wanted to share with us some of the things that makes him different from other players in the country.
“I may only be 5’10, but I feel like I am as rangy as a 6’2 player,” Cooper said. “Another great thing about me, is that I can play anywhere in the secondary. I never quit and I always fight to the end of the game, no matter what.
“I also feel like I have beat-like work ethic and I am always willing to put in work to be great. I also LOVE to study film and I do it any time that I can.”
In the classroom, Cooper gets it done with his 3.0 GPA, which is more than enough to qualify him for college football.
Cooper is also a member of the My Recruits program, who will have previously written on, and is one of the top recruiting services in the country. Coach Lou Perrone and his staff do a great job at getting guys recruited.
While Cooper does not yet have any offers, look for him to pick some up between now and the time he finishes his high school career!
