Player Spotlight: Donivan Thomas C/O ’21 Tailback

Donivan Thomas carries the ball against an opponent

Donivan Thomas is a sensational senior prospect out of Irwin County High School in Ocilla, Georgia.

Thomas is a tailback for the Indians, and is a part of a team that secured back-to-back state championship wins in his final two years with the team.

On the season, Thomas was able to help his team by carrying the ball 69 times for 446 yards, averaging 6.5 yards per carry! Thomas also added 5 touchdowns on the year, and caught 5 passes in the run-heavy attack.

Thomas and the Irwins play in a wing-t offense, so it is likely that he could have gone for even more yards on the year, if the ball had not been spread around as much as it was.

As a dual-sport athlete, Thomas also competes for the Indians on the track and field team, which likely attributes to his 4.45 in the forty-yard-dash!

That speed is quite impressive and it is exactly what Thomas feels is what separates him from other players in the country.

In the weight-room, Thomas is a hard-worker, as he has a current max squat of 395 pounds! He also has a bench press max of 235.

Thomas has a current GPA of 2.9, which is enough to qualify him to play college sports. While he does not yet have any offers, we are sure that someone will pull the trigger on this speedy playmaker!
