Player Spotlight: Ty Bennett C/O ’21 Corner

Ty Bennett is a dynamic playmaker for Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Texas.

Bennett is a lockdown corner for the Cardinals and plays a vital role in the secondary.

On the Covid-19 shortened season, Bennett would grab 11 tackles on the year as well as 1 TFL and a fumble recovery. In coverage, Bennett added 3 PBU’s, showing that he can cover with the best of them!

Standing at 6’3, Bennett has great size for the position and is hoping to play at the next level. With size that most wideouts have, Bennett can climb the ladder with guys that he is covering as well.

Bennett feels like his toughness and sheer will are the things that separate him from other players in the country.

Bennett is also a member of the My Recruits program, who will have previously written on, and is one of the top recruiting services in the country. Coach Lou Perrone and his staff do a great job at getting guys recruited, and it is likely someone will take a chance on Bennett very soon!

According to Coach Lou Perrone, Bennett is a long and rangy DB, with an athletic frame. He also feels like Bennett can match up with nearly any wideout in man press, and he has great body control, and he also plays well in the run game. Perrone feels he will be a steal for any school that recruits him!
