Player Spotlight: Alex Tran C/O ’21 Inside Linebacker/Fullback

Alex Tran is a senior playmaker for Independence High School in San Jose, California.

Tran plays both inside linebacker on defense and fullback on offense for the 76ers.

Due to Covid-19, Tran has been unable to play his senior year with the regulations in California, but he did have a productive junior campaign, as he finished the season with 38 tackles and he also forced a fumble.

In the weight-room, Tran is a hard-worker, as he has a max squat of 335 pounds and a bench press of 265 pounds, despite being 185 pounds!

Tran states that he has some intangibles that separates him from other players in the country, and they are what coaches should expect if he chooses their school for college.

“I am a very competitive player,” Tran said. “I always go 100% at any position that I am used at, and that will continue in college. There is nothing like working and grinding to perfect my craft; I love it!”

Sounds like teams will be getting a well-rounded player in Tran!

In the classroom, Tran takes care of business, with his 3.1 GPA, which is more than enough to qualify him to play at the next level.

Tran currently has two offers, from Clarke and McPherson, but look for him to pull in a few more before it is all said and done!
