Rhodes plays defense for the Panthers, and he sees time at both strong safety and outside linebacker.
Standing at 6’0, 190 pounds, Rhodes has great size to be able to play at the next level and can play either position.
Despite only playing in six games on the season, Rhodes made the most of his opportunities in making 16 tackles on the Covid-shortened season.
Showing off his skills from safety, like Jamal Adams, Rhodes was able to grab 4 tackles for loss on the year, showing he can help in run support, and he had a PBU, showing he can play the pass as well.
In the weight-room, Rhodes does not disappoint, as he has a squat max of 350 pounds, as well as a bench press max of 235 pounds. Rhodes also has a 33″ vertical.
Rhodes feels like he adds value to his team, and any team that may want to take a chance on him at the next level.
“I am extremely coachable as a player, and I feel like that is important,” Rhodes said. “I am also a guy that could fit into any defense. I can cover, and I ca also come in the box and make plays.
“I am also a smart student-athlete and coaches will not have to worry about me in the classroom, because I take care of business.”
Rhodes is right about that, as he currently holds a 3.2 GPA, which is more than enough to play at the next level.
Rhodes currently holds two offers, from Defiance College and Sterling College, but it will be hard to see teams shy away from this versatile player much longer!
