Putney is a corner back for the Timberwolves and he helped lead his team to a 14-0 season and a state championship berth, before losing their first game in the title game.
“I could not have been more Blessed to have been a part of the Cedar Park football team,” Putney said. “Being able to go to the state championship is the dream of every player, and we were able to do that.
“I would not have traded this season for anything. It was such a great experience. Hands down, we have the best coaching staff around and the best teammates. Next season, we will finish with the trophy in our hands!”
In his junior season, Putney finished with 29 tackles on the season in 11 games played. What may be the most impressive stat of all, however, is the fact that Putney had 37 PBU’s!
Standing at 5’11, 160 pounds, Putney already has decent size for the position at the next level, with time to add to his frame.
Putney is a dual-sport athlete, as he is also a member of the track team for the Timberwolves.
That experience helps him run his blazing 4.5 in the forty-yard-dash!
In the classroom, Putney dominates the books like opposing pass-catchers, as he holds a 3.29 GPA.
Like the classroom, Putney is a student on the football field as well, as he enjoys studying the game and learning everything before the snap of the ball.
While he does not yet hold any offers, it will be hard for coaches to pass on Putney for too much longer!
