West plays on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs, seeing time at wideout on offense and defensive back on defense.
Standing at 6’0, 175 pounds, West draws size comparisons to recent Heisman trophy winner, DeVonta Smith, known as Smitty, from Alabama.
With West’s 40 time at 4.51, he is just under Smitty’s time of 4.49, further proving the comparisons.
West helped lead his team to a playoff berth in his senior season, but they were forced out early.
“I feel like we had a great year,” West said. “Obviously, I feel like we could have done better, but moving forward, we just have to grind and get better.”
On the season, West finished just under 1,000 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns, on just 31 receptions!
Aside from his obvious abilities, West has a few things that he wants coaches to know about, that separate him from other players.
“I feel like my speed and my quickness help me on the field,” West said. “I also feel like I have crisp route-running skills and soft hands to catch the ball no matter what. I also take pride in y leadership abilities.”
Of all the things that West is great at, his most impressive skill is in the classroom. West currently holds a 3.5 GPA, which is more than enough to play college ball.
With five current offers, including Clarke Atlanta, it will be interesting to see where this dynamic wideout lands!
