The senior to be plays both power forward and shooting guard for the Lady Bearcats basketball team.
Standing at 5’11, Brown has the size of a Division-1 caliber basketball player, at the shooting guard position, and still has time to grow before she graduates!
Despite dealing with adversity in the 2020/2021 season, Brown and the rest of the Lady Bearcats have pushed through it and played very well.
“Covid-19 sort of set us back a few times,” Brown said. “We ended up having to quarantine on four separate occasions, and as a result, we were unable to practice or play many games. Despite this, we still beat two undefeated teams and punched out ticket to the Sweet 16.”
Sounds like a resilient team!
As far as being a player goes, Brown does her part to set herself apart from other prospects in the country.
“I would say one of the things that I do best, is pass the ball,” Brown said. “I also have great court awareness, and I have the ability to play within the offense that the coach sets for us, no matter where they put me on the floor.
“I also possess the ability to play point guard if it is necessary, because I believe it is important to do whatever it takes to make my teammates better!”
Brown was also able to earn Second Team All-Region Honors for her performance on the season!
With a 3.7 GPA in the classroom, Brown certainly understands that being a student is the most important aspect of being a student-athlete. Her ability to be coachable and move around as needed, with her GPA and her height, we have no question big things are on the horizon for her!
