Hooper Spotlight: Matthew Chow C/O ’21 Point Guard/Combo Guard

Matthew Chow is a hooper for Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California.

Chow is a point guard and a combo guard for the Lancers, and he is looking to make a splash this upcoming season.

Standing at 5’11, 185 pounds, Chow has the size and the ability to play the game at the next level. He also has a wing span of 6’3 and a vertical jump of 32″! In the weight-room, Chow has a max squat of 250 pounds as well.

Due to the effects of Covid-19, Chow had his season canceled in 2020/2021 like so many other Cali players.

As a player, Chow knows that he has to do things that will set him apart from other athletes, and he works hard to do that.

“I feel like I execute well on both sides of the ball,” Chow said. “I also bring energy and passion to the floor in every game. I am an extremely passionate individual when it comes to this game.”

Chow is another prospect that we have written on with our new partner, NSA Prospects, which is a wonderful company that helps hoopers gain attention from college coaches. To date, they have had a hand in assisting 72 players sign to play at the next level, in just under two years. For contact information, their Twitter is @nsaprospects.

While Chow has not yet played an official basketball game since he left his home country of Hong Kong, he has the ability and the heart to do great things on the hardwood. We believe he will do great things, once he gets his shot!

In the classroom, Chow has a 2.6 GPA, and he has already completed 6 college units since coming to the US.
