Hooper Spotlight: Kingsley Cockburn Transfer Guard

Kingsley Cockburn is a phenomenal athlete formerly of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Cockburn plays the guard position and took a redshirt season with the Hornets, and is currently looking for a new home to play ball.

Standing at 6’1, 185 pounds, Cockburn has the size to play guard and do great things, on may levels.

I wanted to know the reason that Cockburn plays the game of basketball, and what drives him to do so.

“I play this game because I have a true love and passion for it,” Cockburn said. “This game is the one thing that I love to do, and that pushes me to be great at it.”

Cockburn knows that he has to do things on and off the court to ensure that he separates himself from other players in the country, and he does just that.

“One thing that makes me unique is I can play on and off the ball,” Cockburn said. “I also pick up on things easily and I love to compete. I just want to win.”

Off the court, Cockburn boasts a 3.4 GPA, which can open up many doors for him to be able to transfer to a new school.

Cockburn is another prospect that we have written on with our partner, NSA Prospects, which is a wonderful company that helps hoopers gain attention from college coaches. To date, they have had a hand in assisting 72 players sign to play at the next level, in just under two years. For contact information, their Twitter is @nsaprospects.
