King just about does it all for the Knights, as he lines up at fullback on offense, as well as middle linebacker and defensive tackle on defense.
Standing at 5’10, 220 pounds, King can be a load to handle for any defense, and with his strong lower body, as he squats 550 pounds, he can be a problem when his full 220 pounds is coming at you, with his 4.9 forty-yard-dash!
King and the rest of the Knights enjoyed a stellar season, as they were ranked as the number one team in New England, and lived up to the hype.
“In preseason, we were ranked the number one team,” King said. “After going undefeated in the toughest conference in the state of Massachusetts, we finished with a 4-0 record. In that span, I rushed for 2 touchdowns, made 12 TFL’s, grabbed a sack and forced a fumble!”
Knowing that he has to set himself apart any way he can, King works hard to perfect his craft and be the best at what he does.
“I feel like I am the best blocking back in all of New England, and it’s not even close,” King said. “I consistently dominate whoever is across the ball from me. I am able to open up lanes for the tailbacks, and I pummel my opponents into submission.
“Picking up first downs and touchdowns are not a problem for me in short yardage situations. I am very aggressive and I make sure to keep drives alive. I love to be physical on both sides of the ball, no matter where they line me up. I am versatile and coachable!”
In the classroom, King knows he has to handle his business, and that is another quality that sets him apart from other players.
“I am a student-athlete above all else,” King said. “I maintain a 3.0 GPA in the classroom because I know how important that is. I also see myself as a leader, and someone that the team and coaching staff can depend on.”
King is a player that should begin to be on everyone’s radar, as he is the type of player that can make a difference in ball games!
