Player Spotlight: Will Collier C/O ’22 Offensive Line/Tight End

Will Collier is a rising senior for the Winningest High School Football Team in the country, Valdosta High School, out of Valdosta, Georgia.

Offensively for the ‘Cats, Collier is a major weapon, as he has the versatility to play anywhere on the offensive line, as well as sees time at tight end as needed.

Standing at 6’4, 250 pounds, Collier could easily add the weight needed to play offensive line at the next level, or could play tight end for a team in need.

Collier has already set out some goals for himself to accomplish, as well as some goals that he would like to attain with the rest of the ‘Cats.

“In my senior season, I would like to be able to show teams that I have grown and developed from my junior year,” Collier said. “I would also like to go undefeated as a team, and I hope to win the region championship.”

Coming from a school that has won the region over forty times in their storied history, it certainly seems to be an attainable goal.

Collier stands out in multiple ways, not just in the ways that he is able to play so many positions for his team.

“Obviously, I have the athleticism, and that is seen,” Collier said. “But I also standout in other ways. My overall knowledge of the game, being a student of the game and how I dissect the game is something that you just can’t find in too many players.”

All players have a reason for playing the game, and Collier is no different, as his why is what pushes him to be great.

“My why for the game is growth and development of myself as a person and a player,” Collier said. “I feel as though another man shouldn’t decide your destiny and that you should choose your own destiny.

“My drive is knowing that I work seven days a week for what I want, and I will not settle for failure. I know that failure comes along the way, but I won’t settle with being a failure.”

Wise words from an intelligent player and person!

Collier heads into his senior campaign with an offer from Lenoir-Rhyne University, but look for him to grab even more along the way!

“I want everyone to know and understand one last thing about me,” Collier said. “I am the hardest worker you can have on your team, and I am a natural born leader.”
