Good played point guard for the Vipers, and he currently stands at 6’0, 170 pounds, and is looking to play the same position at the next level.
Making the most of a senior campaign that did not go as planned for several reasons, Good is hoping that he can land an offer from a school soon.
“My senior year was a bit of a disappointment,” Good said. “I transferred to a different school in Texas, and because of a transfer rule, I was ineligible to play at the varsity level for that team, and could only compete on the junior varsity level.
“This was a bit of a disappointment, because I played all three of my previous seasons on the varsity level at John Bowne High School, which is in New York. Being limited to the JV, we also only got to play nine games due to Covid-19. It was a rough year athletically.”
Despite the limited action on the season, Good still feels as though he is a standout player, and there are reasons a team should take a chance on him.
“I think I standout because I am a true point guard,” Good said. “I am always very vocal on the floor, and I pride myself in my passing and ball handling abilities. I am also a natural scorer, as I can drain three’s, get to the basket, and everything in between.”
Though he faced adversity in his senior year, even more than some of the others, Good remembers his reason for playing the game, and that gets him through it all.
“I just love the game of basketball,” Good said. “It has been my dream to play in the NBA for as long as I can remember.
“With that being said, the main thing that drives me, is my mother and my family. I want to be able to put myself in a position to support them, so that my future children do not have to struggle the same ways taht I have.”
While he may not have any big school offers, Good does have what it takes in the classroom to get there, as he has a 3.05 GPA in the classroom, which is more than enough to get qualified. God does hold one offer, and that is from Gulf Island Prep.
