Kevon Misher: 5’10, 190 Wideout
When you look at the tape on Misher, you can see that he plays much bigger than his 5’10, 190 pound frame. He is aggressive and strong, and is a guy that enjoys blocking for teammates. He also has the speed to take a 3-yard catch and make something out of it. Has the versatility to lineup at several positions, and play them well. Had a run on a jet sweep that showed he has great vision, has the patience to follow blockers, also has the ability to reverse field, make defenders miss, break tackles and to keep moving. Has great hands to make the catch, and has a tailback’s mentality to fight for extra yards, and even drag defenders in his destruction. Has a great hard-cut that allows for him to change direction quickly and keep defenders on their heels. Runs the ball very well from the tailback position when lined up there. Understands where the open space is on the field and gets there to make big plays. A great blocker that is often the reason for plays springing for big yardage, whether it be from a run or a pass.
Misher is the kind of guy that has a team first mentality. He lines up where he is needed, and is able to make great use of his talents as a result. Can run the ball effectively when at tailback or on sweep plays, and can also catch well and understands the wideout position. Does a phenomenal job of blocking and helping his team to get in a better position on the field. A very strong athlete that also has great vision and is a threat to score whenever he has the ball in his hands. He will be a player to watch for in the ’23 class!
We also recently wrote on Misher in one of our spotlight articles, that more fully details who he is on and off the field, and that can be found here.
