Jones plays in the trenches for the Patriots, seeing time on the offensive line, playing both offensive tackle and center.
Standing at an already impressive 6’4.5, 285 pounds, Jones already has the size to play at the next level, while having two more years before graduation to grow even more!
In the weight-room, Jones is doing what it takes to get bigger, faster, stronger, as he has a max squat of 450 pounds, to go along with a max bench of 275 pounds.
Jones ran a 5.5 in the forty-yard-dash at the BMT Camp, who we have previously written on, and has been measured at having a wingspan of 78 inches! In addition to that camp, he will be at the FSU camp, the Troy University camp, as well as the Rival’s camp this month.
Knowing what it takes to be a winner already in his young athletic career, Jones helped lead his team to a state championship in football in the 2020 season!
When asked what separates him from other players, Jones said just what coaches want to hear out of their linemen.
“I would say what separates me is that I am big and strong, as well as the fact that I just love to compete,” Jones said.
Besides the championships and the ability to be big and strong, Jones has reasons for what drives him to be great in the sport.
“I just love this game,” Jones said. “Being able to be on a team and the overall brotherhood is huge for me. I love the time we spend as a team on the trips to and from the games.
“I also love that we can get physical and not get in trouble! Another big thing for me is to be able to be the first person in my family to play collegiate sports.”
While all of what he has done is impressive, the stat Jones has that looks the best on his resume’, is his 3.5 GPA in the classroom, which will open many doors for him!
