Player Spotlight: Chandler Bradley C/O ’21 Transfer Portal Wideout/Athlete

Chandler Bradley is a standout playmaker for South Dakota Mines and Technology, which is based out of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Bradley sees most of his action on the offensive side of the football, as he plays wideout for the Hardrockers, but has the versatility to line up in other positions as needed.

Standing at 5’11, 175 pounds, Bradley draws size comparisons to Jaylen Waddle, recent draft pick out of Alabama Crimson Tide, who was picked up in the first round by the Miami Dolphins in 2021.

Bradley has some wheels too, as he runs a 4.48 in the forty-yard-dash, to go along with a 38 inch vertical.

Choosing to opt out of the 2020 season due to concerns that were related to Covid, Bradley did not sit back on his hands, but instead worked hard to make sure he was ready to play when the time came back for it.

“Covid was a huge setback for many, but in no way did it stop my grind,” Bradley said. “I have been working hard, and just waiting for the opportunity to help turn someone’s program around.

“Because I withdrew during Covid, I must complete a residency at my next institution, and I am limited to practicing only in 2021, however, I can compete the next two seasons after that with no issues.”

Every player has the ability to standout from other athletes at their positions, and Bradley is no different.

“I think the biggest thing for me, is to be able to lead on and off the field,” Bradley said. “I always make sure that my grades are taken care of as well, and I am a responsible athlete that has no issues off the field, and I remain focused at all times.”

Bradley has reasons that drive him to be great, and to never give up, no matter how difficult things may get.

“I think the biggest thing for me, is the love for the game that I have,” Bradley said. “I also love to make big plays with my team and I love to win together.”

With a 3.7 GPA in the classroom, Bradley follows up what he says about taking care of his grades, and as a result, he was able to make the honor roll at his school. We look forward to seeing where he lands next!
