Player Profile: Logan Lewis C/O ’23 Linebacker/Tailback/Quarterback

Logan Lewis: 6’1, 220 Quarterback/Tailback/Linebacker
After turning on the tape of Lewis, you can immediately see that he has a strong arm, and is able to put the ball where he wants it. He is patient in the pocket and allows for plays to develop, while going through his reads. He has the size to handle the position as well, with two years left to grow. He looks very comfortable within the offense, and has a command on what is going on around him. He never looks rattled when the defense pressures, and does a great job of stepping up in the pocket to avoid the sack, while keeping his eyes downfield to find the open teammate. Has the ability to run through arm tackles, and with his size, is a very powerful runner that will not go down on initial contact. Does a great job of reading the defense on option plays, and has the speed to take the ball to the next level, and score with ease. He is able to put the ball where he wants it on every play, and always seems to find the best option on the play to throw to. Has the ability to get the ball to his man, despite if they are covered. Has the ability to run through three and four players and extend the play.

Lewis is a dynamic playmaker at the quarterback position. He is lethal in many ways, whether it be with his arm, his legs, his vision, etc. He keeps his eyes downfield to ensure that he can keep plays alive. He runs like a truck and is extremely hard to tackle one-on-one for any defender. Certainly a player to keep your eye on for the 2023 class. Look for him to make a splash the next two seasons!

We recently wrote on Lewis in our Player Spotlight feature, which highlights who he is as a person, on and off the field. That can be found here.
