Christopher Sitto is a rising senior hooper out of Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and we wrote on him last March. That article details more of who he is and what he brings to the table. It can be found here.

The last time we spoke to Sitto, which was on our podcast, he was still in search of that first school to pull the trigger and offer him, and since then, on June 6, 2021, he was able to get that first offer!

“In the summer, I received my first offer from Kellogg Community College,” Sitto said. “It was a huge relief because I had been waiting for so long. Coach Sprague truly believed in my talent and it was back in April when he gained interest in me.

“At the time, he was not allowed to recruit me because of the rules that were in place, but the day after the seniors at my school graduated, he was allowed to recruit me, and he went ahead and offered me that very same day.”

That was not the end of the good news for Sitto, as he was able to receive his second offer a short time after that, on July 27th.

My second offer came from Franciscan University,” Sitto said. “Coach Martello and I formed a good relationship. He was recruiting me for about two weeks and then he and the head coach offered me, and I feel they also believe in me a great deal.”

While those two schools have offered him, Sitto has also received interest from a number of other schools as well.

“I was also able to gain some new looks interest from schools,” Sitto said. “I have talked with Heidelberg University, University of Northwestern, Oliviet College, SUNY ESF, and the University of Detroit Mercy, as well as Kentucky State University.

“I was also invited to come on a visit to Oliviet College with the head coach, Coach Hargraves. I will also have a workout in the foreseeable future with Detroit Mercy and their head coach, Coach Davis.”

In addition to things heating up this summer for Sitto on the recruiting aspect of things, he also participated in his high school team’s summer league, where he was able to get some extra work in preparation of the season.

“The summer league was great for us, and we actually ended u winning the championship,” Sitto said. “Everyone really put their all in the tournament and we played together very well on both sides of the floor and it was just great chemistry.

“Ever since then, I have lived in the gym. I have been able to workout with some current and former college hoopers, as well as a former NBA player that plays overseas. I am strictly trying to get better, and doing this with these guys has significantly done that.”

Any time a person decides to lean on someone who is more knowledgeable or more talented than they are, it elevates that person, and Sitto has felt the effects of that.

“They are really competitive, and it is helping my game,” Sitto said. “I can tell that I am much calmer now on the court. I also make better choices on the floor, and I have learned to use my body in better ways.”

It sounds like Sitto has really elevated his game, which is in perfect time for his senior campaign. With his 3.11 GPA, more colleges are likely to be knocking on his door and we cannot wait to see where he ends up!
